Door County: The Tourism Zone
Commission will meet Tuesday, 27 May at 6PM at the Landmark Resort 7643
Hillside Road, Egg Harbor. There will be a review of financial
statements and activities from 2007-2008 and a short presentation by
the Door County Visitor Bureau with updates on programming funded by
the room tax. The complete annual report will be available online May

Liberty Grove Town: The Town
Plan Commission will meet Monday, 12 May at 7 PM in the Town Hall.

west of Timberline Road
Sturgeon Bay City: There will
be an informational meeting re: plans for Little Lake at 6 PM Thursday,
15 May at the Crossroads at Big Creek Collins Learning Center, 2041
Michigan Street.
Sturgeon Bay City: The City
Council took voted 5-1 to proceed with the annexation of the 25 acre
"Georgeson Property". The land will be tentatively rezoned for
agricultural use. A vote is scheduled for 20 May for the next step.
Wal-Mart can request a conditional use permit to cover the appropriate
zoning. This would initiate a requirement for several impact studies:
traffic analysis; fiscal impact of taxes generated and costs of
municipal services and job creation; number of times dollars paid at

Sturgeon Bay City: The Common
Council voted 5-1 to demolish the vacant Peterson Pool in Martin Park.
The City also voted to annex five properties into the City from the
Town of Nasewaupee. The parcels are located along Duluth Ave. from Oak
St. to Green Bay Road and have a total assessed value of $878,400.

Sturgeon Bay City: Sturgeon
Bay Utilities is proposing a substation near County TT and Lily Bay
Road. The application has been made to the Public Service Commission
and SBU expects a ruling in about 4 months. The $2.8 million project
would take from 18-24 months to complete. The City would seek to annex
the property if the PSC approves the project. The proposal calls for
construction of a 15' square brick building, a 10' square transformer
and concrete pad, and power lines and other power generation equipment
that would be enclosed by a 10' high chain link fence. More information

Kewaunee County
Check with your local municipal
officials about the control of noxious weeds. The municipalities have
lists of what they consider noxious weeds and they must be destroyed
before they bloom. The notice can be found in the Kewaunee County News

Algoma Board of Review: Will
meet at 9:30 AM Wednesday, 14 May. Anyone wanting to appear must submit
written objections to their property valuation by 4 PM Monday, 12 May.
Forms are available in City Hall.
Algoma City: The Board of
Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, 20 May at 4:30 PM in
City Hall. The purpose of the hearing is to hear the requests of two
property owners for the following variances:
· John Ortlieb at 1325 Lake Street, to construct a garage
that will be located on the lot line. The request has been denied by
the Building Inspector because the side and rear setbacks require 6
feet.
· Mike Zettel at 803 Division Street, to construct a
garage within 2 feet of the lot line. The request has been denied by
the Building Inspector because the side setback requires 6 feet.
The Board of Appeals will hear
testimony and will grant or deny the variances based on the outcome of
the hearing.
Carlton Town: The Carlton
Zoning Board will hold its annual meeting at 7:45 PM on 14 May in the
Town Hall. After that meeting the Zoning Board will hold a public
meeting to finalize the Wind Mill and Set Back Ordinance.
Casco Village: The Village
Clerk certifies that the correct copy of WI Dept. of Natural Resources
Model Floodplain Ordinance is now on file at the office of the Village
Clerk.
Kewaunee City: The Board of
Review will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, 13 May at 8:30 AM at
City Hall, 401 Fifth Street. Due to the fact the assessment is not
completed at this time, the Board of Review will take action to adjourn
to 19 June from 1 – 3 PM at City Hall. More specific notices will be
published at a later time.
Kewaunee City: The City of
Kewaunee Water Utility has published the "Annual Drinking Water Quality
Report". A copy of the report can be found in the Kewaunee County News
(07 May) or at the Utility Office, 401 Fifth St., Kewaunee, WI 54216.

Lincoln Town: The Town
Planning Commission will meet at 7 PM Thursday, 22 May. Agenda items:
* Request from Marvin and Cheryl
Herison to zone 2 parcels from A-1 Agricultural to Rural Residential.
The first parcel would be approximately 2.5 acres and the second parcel
would be approximately 2.0 acres. After the hearing the commission will
recommend that town board either grant or deny the above requests.
Luxemburg Village: Will meet
at 7 PM Tuesday, 13 May at the Village Office Building. Agenda items:

· Review creating a local ordinance for making
