Door County
Sturgeon Bay Town: Town
officials are concerned about Premier Concrete's proposal to excavate
to a depth of 30' to mine sand off Tagge Road. The company filed
a conditional use permit application for a 100 acre site. The Door Co.
RPC is expected to act on the application in June or July. The Town is
recommending a test well be installed to monitor the impact on wells in
the area.
Door Co. Economic Development
Corp.: will host a meeting on a health care insurance option for
local small businesses at 1 PM Tuesday, 17 June at the Ladder

Egg Harbor Village: The WI
DNR will meet at 10 AM Monday, 30 June at the Bertschinger
Center for a public hearing on the village marina project. See the
legal notice on page 9B (Sports section) of the 11 June issue of
the DC Advocate for details.
Egg Harbor Village: The plan
commissions for the Village and Egg Harbor Town will hold a joint
meeting with their respective consultants in late June to go over the
Comprehensive Plan. Watch for further details and notices.
Ephraim Village: the Board of
Review will meet at 7 PM Monday, 15 June in the village offices.
Town assessor Mike Walker will be available from 10-Noon that day in
the village offices for an open book review. Call the village office by
Friday, 13 June to get on the schedule.
Gibraltar Town: Gibraltar is

Sturgeon Bay City: The Plan
Commission will conduct a public hearing in Council Chambers on Wednesday, 18 June at 7 PM. Hearings:
· A petition from Nancy Uttech for approval of a
conditional use. The proposal use is a home occupation for a hair
stylist at 727 S. 17th Place.
· A petition from Amy Ensign and David Foulds for approval
of a conditional use. The proposal is to convert a single family
dwelling into a 2 family dwelling at 625 W. Oak St.
WI DNR: The following was
received from the DNR: "You have expressed an interest in materials for
inspectors and realtors as it becomes available regarding changes to
the well code and the well inspection process. I enclosed
a press release for your reference. More information is expected in the
near future."
