Door County

Door County: The Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution that enables the
county to borrow up to $1.6 million (if necessary) to cover the remodeling
of the Government Center. The costs of remodeling were included in a $30
million bond issue set up to cover the costs of building the Justice Center,
the adjacent Highway Shop and an emergency services office in Sister Bay.

Brussels Town: The Town Board will meet at 7 PM Wednesday, 09 July at the
ESTR Building in Brussels.

Jacksonport Town: Public hearings will be held by the Door Co. Resource
Planning Committee (RPC) on Thursday, 17 July at 7 PM in the Multipurpose
Room C-185 of the Door Co. Justice Center, 1201 South Duluth Ave. Agenda
items:
* The Jacksonport Town Board petitions for amendments to Sections
3.15(7) and 4.08(8) of the Door Co. Zoning Ordinance as follows:
o Create Section 3.15(7) to read: Town of Jacksonport special
development requirements.
a. Height limitation for all buildings that
are in the Development Core as depicted in the Door Co. Development Plan,
1995. In the Mixed Use Commercial (MC) and Single Family Residential-20,000
(SF20) zoning districts located in the Development Core of the Town of
Jacksonport, no structure shall exceed an average height of 28' above
finished grade elevation or an average of 30' in height above
preconstruction grade elevation whichever is lower.
b. The provisions of Sections 3.08(2) and (3)
shall apply in the Development Core area of the Town of Jacksonport.

Create within Section 4.08(8)(c)1.a. – paragraph 3

Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.

Multiple occupancy developments in the Mixed Use
Commercial (MC) zoning district shall not exceed 12 bedrooms per acre of net
lot area. Fractional results shall be rounded down to the nearest whole
number.

Create within Section 4.08(8)(e)1. – paragraph 2 to read:

Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.

In the Mixed Use Commercial (MC) zoning district no
multiple occupancy development building, including associated accessory
buildings, shall exceed an average height of 28 feet above finished grade
elevation or an average of 30 feet in height above preconstruction grade
elevation, whichever is lower.

Create within Section 4.08(8)(d)1. – paragraph 2 to read:

Town of Jacksonport special development requirements.

The maximum impervious surface ratio for multiple
occupancy developments within the Mixed Use Commercial (MC) zoning district
in the Town of Jacksonport shall be 40%.

The Mixed Use Commercial zoning districts and
development core in the Town of Jacksonport are depicted on maps which are
available for viewing and/or purchase at the Door Co. Planning Dept. during
normal business hours.

The Jacksonport Town Board met Tuesday, 24 June at the Town Hall/Fire
Station. Action items:

* voted for the rezoning of a 4 acre parcel of land owned by Adam Drossart
of Manitowoc. The parcel is located south of Jacksonport on Highway 57 and
will be changed from small estate to mixed commercial.
* Miller Engineers and Scientists of Sheboygan submitted its final plans for
the beach runoff water management for Lakeside Park. Jacksonport would be
eligible for a $50,000 WI Coastal Management grant if the Town decided to
implement all three phases and commit to the entire project
* an investigative service from Green Bay has been hired by the Tourism Zone
Commission to pursue some of the properties that are not complying with the
TZC laws.
* The Jacksonport Parks Committee is looking at the possibility of
purchasing land adjacent to existing parks


Town of Sturgeon Bay

Premier Concrete requests a conditional use permit
as required by Section 4.05(3). Premier Concrete proposes to operate a
nonmetallic mine at 103.06 acre site located at 6186 Tagge Road in a General
Agricultural (GA) zoning district.

The purpose of the public hearings is to allow
parties to explain how their interests are affected, how the public is
affected, and to bring out any facts pertinent to the case related to public
health, safety, convenience, and general welfare.

Liberty Grove Town: A hearing and special board meeting will be held on
Wednesday, 02 July at 5 PM at the Town Hall, 11161 Old Stage Road. Agenda
items:
* Hearing re: the request of Liberty Grove Sanitary District #1 to add
territory to the district
* Decision and "findings" to determine if
o the proposed work is necessary
o public health, safety, convenience or welfare will be promoted by
the added territory
o property to be included in the district will be benefited by the
addition
* Option of postponing decision to a later date
Liberty Grove Town: The Town Board will meet at approximately 7 PM on
Wednesday, 02 July following the public hearing. Agenda items:
* Future meetings including date for continuance of hearing on Stat.
82.27 petition by Wayne Logcrafters LLP for access to landlocked parcel
* Adjourn to closed session re: land purchase
* Reconvene in open session with possible announcement on closed
session item
Sister Bay Village: The new "dog park" across from the Sister Bay Sports
Complex on Autumn Court is now open.

Meeting calendar, agendas, ordinances, administrator's reports, etc.

Southern Door School: The Board of Education will approve a preliminary
version of next year's budget Monday, 30 June at 7 PM in the district
office. If property values do not increase, district residents could see a
mil rate of $7.91/$1,000 of state equalized value. Last year's mil rate was
$7.58. A final budget will be approved in October after student enrollment
figures and revenue limits are known. (Source: Door County Advocate)

Kewaunee County

Casco Town: Open Book for the 2008 assessment roll will be on Tuesday, 01
July from 6-9 PM at the Town Hall in Slovan.

Casco Town: The Board of Review for 2008 will be on Wednesday, 09 July from
6-8 PM at the Town Hall in Slovan.

Lincoln Town: The Town will review the Town Comprehensive Plan at a public
hearing and recommend to the Town Board to adopt or amend the plan. The
meeting will be held at the Town Hall on 07 July at 6:30 PM. The Town Board
will act on the recommendation at the monthly meeting on 07 July at 7 PM.

Luxemburg-Casco School District: Larry LePage of Somerville Architects has
been meeting with citizens of the school district to gain input regarding a
possible referendum in the future. LePage is in his second month of meeting
with people in the communities that make up the school district. Contact the
school with your input.

Luxemburg Town: The Board of Review and Open Book will take place on 30 June
at the Luxemburg Town Hall. Open Book from 8-10 AM. Board of Review from
10-12 Noon and 1-5 PM and from 6 - ? PM.
Luxemburg Village: The Village Board of Review shall hold its adjourned
meeting on Tuesday, 15 July from 6-8 PM at the Luxemburg Municipal Office
Building, 206 Maple Street.

Pierce Town: A public hearing before the Kewaunee Co. Board of Adjustments
will be held on Wednesday, 09 July at 7:30 PM at the Kewaunee County Admin.
Center re: a proposal to vary the terms of the Kewaunee County Shoreland
Ordinance as follows:
* To permit the Green Bay Water Utility to construct a 16x40 building
addition to the north pumping station 57 feet from the ordinary high water
mark. The Kewaunee Co. Shoreland Zoning Ordinance requires a 75' setback.
The expansion is required because of the need to replace old pumps. The
property is located at N4976 Lakeshore Drive, Town of Pierce.
Pierce Town: A public hearing before the Kewaunee Co. Board of Adjustments
will be held on Wednesday, 09 July at 7:30 PM at the Kewaunee County Admin.
Center re: a proposal to vary the terms of the Kewaunee County Shoreland
Ordinance as follows:
* To allow Lakeside Community Church to keep a recently constructed
directory sign that exceeds the size requirements of the Kewaunee Co.
Shoreland Zoning Ordinance. The location is at E6295 County Road K, Town of
Pierce.
