Liberty Grove Town: The Town Board will meet on Wednesday, 20 August at 7 PM
in the Town Hall. Agenda items:
* Termination of Gills Rock ad hoc committee and appointment of new
committee to carry forward with financial aspects of Gills Rock safe harbor
* Health Safety Welfare committee recommendation/request re: legal
expense when conformance with building codes resulting from change of use is
involved
* US Postal service building on Garrett Bay Road: review preliminary
design and discuss options
* Plan Commission recommendations:
o Petition for grant of variance: Construct an 8' x 28'7" addition and
a 4' x 8' covered porch within 10' of east lot line on a 75.25' wide lot,
Paul Wycisk at 2798 Lindem Lane
o Petition for zoning amendment: HL3.5 to MC, parcel 018-01-20321822D,
Darrell Jacobson at 9990 Hwy 57, and HL10 to MC, parcel 018-01-20312822C
(north 417' of west 730'), Mike McAndrews at 2445 Co. Q
Door County Planning Dept: Chapters 5 and 6, Housing and Economic
Development, of the Door County "Smart Growth" Plan Resource Report have
been significantly revised and updated from the January version and are
now posted to the comprehensive planning website at HYPERLINK

chapters and send us in writing any specific comments or questions. Two
to three additional chapters of the remaining four chapters of the
Resource Report will also be completed in the next six weeks; we will send
you notice when those are posted to the website and available for your
review.
Note to members of the Core Planning Committee (CPC): Please be sure to
have read Chapters 1 – 6 of the Resource Report in advance of the 6:30
p.m., Monday, September 29th CPC meeting.. Also, as noted above, there
will be additional chapters of the Resource Report completed in the next six
weeks that should also be read in advance of the CPC meeting. We will
notify you when those chapters are posted to the website and ready for your
review.

The Board of Adjustment will meet on 26 Aug at 6:30 PM at the Door Co.
Justice Center, 1201 South Duluth Ave. in Room C185.

The Door Co. Board of Supervisors will meet on 26 Aug at 8:30 AM in the
Baileys Harbor Town Hall, 2392 County F, Baileys Harbor.

The Resource Planning Committee (RPC) will meet on Thursday, 21 August at 7
PM in the Multipurpose Room (C-185) of the Door Co. Justice Center, 1201
South Duluth Ave. Agenda items:
* Zoning Matters: Potential reconsideration of decision previously
made 07 Aug to deny conditional use permit application by Premier Concrete
for nonmetallic mining: 6186 Tagge Road, Sturgeon Bay. (The zoning permit
application and accompanying materials may be reviewed at the Planning
Dept., 421 Nebraska St., Sturgeon Bay, M-F between 8 AM to 4:30 PM)
* Planning Matters:
o Update/discussion on Smart Growth planning activities
o Discussion of housing-related issues, including: cluster housing,
affordable housing, living quarters in accessory structures.
* Consider recommendation to county board of updated fee schedule
* Future Meetings:
o 04 Sep Zoning hearings/planning meeting
o 18 Sep Zoning hearings at Liberty Grove Town Hall; 6:30 pm
o 29 Sep Core Planning Committee meeting
o 30 Sep UWEX/DCPD educational/informational meeting for town
officials regarding county zoning ordinance
o 02 Oct Zoning hearings/planning meeting

The Resource Planning Committee (RPC) will hold public hearings on Thursday,
04 September at 7 PM in the Multipurpose Room (C-185) of the Door Co.
Justice Center, 1201 South Duluth Ave. Agenda items:
* Town of Liberty Grove: Russell Forkert petitions for an amendment to
the detailed zoning map of the town of Liberty Grove to change the zoning
district classification of the following parcels form Single Family
Residential-30,000 (SF30) to Mixed Use Commercial (MC):
o Tax Parcel No. 018-02-33322844X; and
o Tax Parcel No. 018-02-32322844E (east portion)
These parcels are located near 10967 Hwy 42 and
would be used for boat storage facilities.

* Town of Liberty Grove: Darrell Jacobson & Michael McAndrews petition
for an amendment to the detailed zoning map of the Town of Liberty Grove
changing the zoning district classification of the following tracts and
indicated:
o Jacobson 018-01-20312822D
HL3.5 to MC (3.336 acres)
o McAndrews 018-01-20312822C (north 441.7' of west 730') HL10
to MC (6.99 acres)
These properties are located at the SE corner of the
intersection of State Hwy 57 & Co. Q at 9990 Hwy 57 and 2445 Hwy Q
